WARDAK, Aug. 24 – A heavy fighting prompted on Friday as the enemy tried to break Mujahideen siege of a military base in which over 13 enemy military personnel were killed and 10 more were wounded.
Three of the enemy tanks were destroyed after coming under rocket fires, while Mujahideen pounded with heavy weapon an enemy post close to the base that inflicting further losses on the enemy.
Two Mujahideen fighters are reported to have become martyrs and 1 injured in the operation.
Also on Friday, 5 enemy soldiers were killed in separate attacks by Mujahideen in Chak district of the province, while a tank was targeted by IEDs in Jalriz district of the province last Friday, killing and wounding all those aboard it.
In the province’s Syed Abad district, 2 enemy soldiers were killed in a gun battle with Mujahideen on Friday.
