KUNDUZ, July 9 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate took over an enemy major base in Imam Sahib district of northern Kunduz province last night, prompting heavy fighting that led to the deaths of 28 enemy military personnel and 16 more received injuries, while 10 enemy soldiers were captured in the operation.
Similarly, Mujahideen seized from the enemy possession 4 Kalashnikov machine guns, 3 PK heavy machine guns, 8 M16 rifles, 1 U.S made antitank heavy machine gun, 3 RPG rockets, 4 military tanks and a considerable amount various kinds of ammunition of heavy land small arms fire.
One Mujahid fighter is reported to have been martyred and 3 more were wounded in the operation.
In another report, 2 enemy soldiers were killed and 1 injured in separate attacks in Imam Sahib District of Kunduz province.
The death toll hit a total of 50 over the last 48 hours in the country’s north when 20 puppets were killed in northern Jowzjan province.
