By the mercy of Allah the Most High and prayers of sincere Muslims, the Islamic Emirate’s former deputy, a pillar of bravery and sincerity, Mullah Baradar Akhund was freed after a nine year imprisonment and reached home. Mullah Baradar Akhund played an essential role in the establishment of the Islamic Emirate as well in initiating resistance against American aggression. Likewise, he had also played an important role during the just jihad of the Afghan people against the Russian aggression.
In 2003, the respected Mullah Baradar Akhund and Mullah Ubaidullah Akhund were appointed by the Ameerul Mumineen, Mullah Muhammad Umar Mujahid as his deputies. They raised the flag of the sacred jihad against the occupying American and NATO armies in these conditions and courageously led the just movement of freedom for Afghanistan. The large American and NATO armies as well as their Afghan collaborators across the country exercised their full strength and commenced the horrific massacre of the Afghan commoners with the help of their latest weapons, aircraft and other military means. The entire world allied with them and neighbouring countries were either silent or co-operative.
When the noble Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate commenced their fierce attacks on the occupying American forces and made life extremely difficult for them throughout the country then the American imperialist, apart from testing other schemes, attempted to search for and arrest the leadership of Islamic Emirate. After many intelligence attempts, they tasted some success in finally reaching them. America and her allies thought that with the arrest of Mullah Baradar Akhund and Mullah Ubaidullah Akhund, disorganization would tear apart the ranks of the Islamic Emirate and by putting pressure on the courageous leadership of the Islamic Emirate, they could perhaps lure them through incentives, thus eventually abandoning the path of jihad.
America, however, was clueless of the reality with which she was faced; from the leadership of the Islamic Emirate to the common Mujahid, all are in agreement that they shall not forsake their sacred mission and stance though there may arrive opportunities before them to pursue a life of privilege and luxury. There shall be no deal-making in any matter.
According to reports, during the nine years of hardships of imprisonment, America asked Mullah Barader Akhund on multiple occasions to play a role in bringing about peace and negotiations between the Taliban and Kabul administration. Despite all these schemes and pressure, Mullah Barader Akhund gave a clear response: he would be prepared to face the punishment of imprisonment for his entire life but would never compromise on the fundamental stance and lofty religious values of the Islamic Emirate. It was this determination and steadfastness of the highly respected Mullah Barader Akhund, as well as the prayers of the oppressed Muslims and Mujahideen that he was eventually released from jail in an honourable manner.
The Islamic Emirate considers the release of its well-known leader as great news for the Afghan Mujahid nation and as success and victory over falsehood. It is hoped that the Islamic Emirate’s already united and organized ranks shall be further strengthened with his release, God Willing.
